The Springs, a Hot Springs Resort in Idaho City reopened in the winter of 2012 after extensive construction, remodeling and landscaping. As a cherished destination for over 130 years, the owners felt it was important to create an identity that built on its heritage and reflects its pristine location and unique amenities.
The design solution seemed obvious – develop a brand that is reminiscent of historic national parks themes. The result is a contemporary interpretation that is bold and inviting while maintaining strong references to a bygone era. Nostalgic but still relevant.
The rollout was extremely successful and all elements of the brand and business model are warmly embraced by visitors. The owners were so please with the project the hired my studio to help brand properties opening on Maui, Hawaii and Rincon, Puerto Rico.
